RepeatPrescription.ie is a digital software service provided by The Website Shop Ltd. The platform facilitates patients in submitting their repeat prescription request directly to their GP and complete payment where required. Patients will receive an email notification when their request has been approved, letting the patient know when to collect their prescription from their pharmacy.

By using repeatprescription.ie (referred to within as 'the website', 'this website' or 'the platform') you agree to the following terms of service:

For patients and general website visitors

The purpose of repeatprescription.ie for patients and general website visitors is to facilitate the transfer of your repeat prescription request to your GP.

The website will digitally submit your repeat prescription request to your GP for assessment and upon approval, your prescription will be transferred to your nominated pharmacy using the electronic perceptions facility.

Upon approval, your GP can mark your request as completed, which will notify you of completion via email, letting you know when to collect your prescription.

Terms Of Use:

The website should only be used for the purpose of requesting the renewal of a preexisting prescription.

The website should not be used for the purpose of requesting a GP consultation.

To submit your request you must first select the GP Surgery at which you are a currently registered patient.

Do not use this website if your GP or GP Surgery are not yet listed.

This website is for users within the Republic of Ireland only. Do not use this website if you are not a registered GP Surgery patient within the Republic of Ireland.

If you are a medical card holder the website does not request payment in order to make a submission. If you are not a medical card holder, a processing fee will be payable to complete your request.

The fee for non-medical card holders is determined by your GP Surgery and includes all processing fees.

Where payment is requested, payment must be completed for your GP to receive your request. If payment is not made where requested, your GP will not receive your request. You will be instructed of payment requirements by correctly completing the submission form and by email.

Payments are processed through our payments provider Stripe. Stripe’s privacy policy can be viewed here: https://stripe.com/ie/privacy

Any data submitted through the website for any purpose other than requesting the renewal of a preexisting prescription will be discarded. Where payment has been made, no refund will be provided.

It is your responsibility to submit accurate information to allow your GP to assess the validity of your request. Where there is incorrect or missing information, or where your request does not accurately match a preexisting prescription, your request may be Declined without notice.

Only submit a prescription request selecting your GP or GP Surgery with whom you are a currently registered patient. Requests from anyone other than currently registered patients will be considered invalid and will be discarded without notice.

Any invalid submissions will be discarded, and where payment has been made there will be no refund provided.

It is your responsibility to ensure the accuracy and validity of all information you provide. Neither The Website Shop Ltd (trading as RepeatPrescription.ie) or your GP or GP Surgery can be held responsible for any damages or losses incurred due to the provision of inaccurate information.

The Website Shop Ltd (trading as RepeatPrescription.ie) cannot be held responsible for the accuracy or integrity of your data.

In order to submit your request through this website, you must opt-in to give your consent to your GP / GP Surgery to use electronic prescriptions to transfer your prescription to your nominated surgery.

This website is not for the purpose of facilitating in-person or handwritten prescriptions.

For doctors and GP Surgeries

The purpose of the repeatprescription.ie website for GPs and GP Surgeries is to facilitate the transfer of patient repeat prescription requests to your clinic via the repeatprescription.ie platform, and process payment where required.

Terms of use

The platform facilitates the transfer of information submitted by the user (or, the patient), as inputted by the user.

The Website Shop Ltd (trading as “RepeatPrescription.ie”) cannot be held responsible for the accuracy or validity of any data held within or transferred through the platform.

It is your responsibility to review all repeat prescription requests against your own records before approval.

Requests received through the platform can only be accessed by logging into the platform using your access credentials.

It is your responsibility to ensure you retain a copy of your access credentials, and access to the associated email address of your account.

The Website Shop Ltd (trading as “RepeatPrescription.ie”) cannot be held responsible for any losses/damages incurred from being unable to access the platform for any reason.

If you cannot gain access, please contact our team via support@repeatprescription.ie.

Prescription requests will be compiled within the platform for your review. Requests can be approved (marked as "Sent to pharmacy") or Declined and will be marked as processed.

In the interests of data security, RepeatPrescription.ie automatically deletes processed requests 48 hours after processing for the purposes of data security.

GP Surgeries are advised to ensure all requests are processed.

The platform should not be used as a data management resource, nor should it be used as any reference for patient data.

If a patient submits a request for a particular medication, it should not be assumed that this request has been pre-approved, or pre-screened in any capacity.

Contact information submitted through the platform should be relied upon for reference purposes only and should not be assumed to be absolute. For example, For example, if a patient submits a phone number through the system, it should not be assumed to be accurate or to overwrite/replace your own preexisting records.

It is the medical professional’s responsibility to assess the appropriateness of any and all prescriptions.

The Website Shop Ltd (trading as RepeatPrescription.ie) does not in any way screen or verify any submitted requests and cannot ensure accuracy of any information.

The Website Shop Ltd (trading as RepeatPrescription.ie) does not assume any type of medical advisory role whatsoever and cannot be held responsible in any capacity for the distribution or non-distribution, approval or non-approval of any medically critical data, determinations or associated ramifications.

A processing fee is applied to non-medical card repeat prescription requests only.

You (the GP and or GP Surgery) determine the total processing fee applicable to non-medical card submissions.

Stripe charges a processing fee of 1.5% + 25c + VAT per transaction.

RepeatPrescription.ie charges a processing fee of 40c per transaction.
